Smart Hometown was started to give local candidates the same kind of polished website big campaigns have, without the big-campaign price. We work with candidates of every party. We don’t take sides; we just help you get your message out.

Common questions
Do I need to know anything about computers?
Not at all. We do all the technical work. You just answer a few questions, send a photo or two, and tell us if you’d like anything changed.
How fast can my site be ready?
Most sites are ready for you to review within 48 hours of receiving your information.
Do I get my own web address?
Yes. A .com address like yournamefortown.com is included. If you already own one, we’ll use that instead.
How do volunteer sign-ups reach me?
When someone fills out your sign-up form, their information is emailed straight to you.
Can I make changes later?
Yes. Just email us what you’d like changed, such as new events, a new photo or an endorsement, and we’ll update it for you.
What about the “Paid for by” disclaimer?
Most states require one on campaign materials. We add your disclaimer to the bottom of every page. You give us the exact wording your committee uses.
What happens after the election?
Hosting runs through Election Day. If you win, we can turn your site into an officeholder page to keep in touch with residents. If you’d like to run again someday, we can save your site for next time.
Do you work with candidates from every party?
Yes. We’re nonpartisan and charge everyone the same published prices. We’ll give you an itemized invoice for your campaign-finance reports.
